    I'm finally in the market for my first AR optic and have it narrowed down to either the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 or the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24. I just wanted to get an opinion from anybody that has experience with both optics to see what you guys think is the better choice for an all around/SHTF AR.

    I would expect the glass in the Viper PST to be better than the Strike Eagle.

    I have a Strike Eagle that I ran in a 3 day carbine class (thread in the Training section) that worked well.
