    I recall going through all the hoops . Paid 290.00 and waited forever , showed up on the porch one day , no signature , just laying there in a box . Still have it .

    I bought one from CMP back in 2004 when they were $425 for a SA Field Grade, a Greek return. The metal was in great shape, but the stock looked like a Half Track or Tank ran over it. It had crushed wood on both sides.
    In 2006 I tried my luck again with another FG ($425 again) and was sent a SA Danish return that was in very nice shape.
    It would seem that he Danes took much better care of their rifles than the Greeks did.
    Always wanted to go to Anniston and make a hand picked purchase.
