Heck I still have the Buck General 120 I carried during Vietnam, 46 years and counting. Also have a bayonet my dad carried in WWII in Europe, that's 71 years old. These days they are more to look at than use.

Man oh man! The sheath is what I covet...the sheaths after 1978 put the belt loop more to the center causing the knife to ride higher on the hip when strung on the belt. The last sheath I had like that was destroyed when I worked at Baltimore Air Coil in Jessup when a panel came off the top of a unit we were pushing off of the assembly line and struck me in the lower right back severing my belt and cutting through the flap of the sheath holding my Buck 110.

LOL, i have been looking for a sheath for this knife, stitching was failing & didnt want to lose sheath plus the knife. Missed placed the sheath but still have the knife. Any advice on where I can get a sheath. Closed dimensions are 5" long, 1-1/4" wide.

Ever try to sharpen that Buck? The blades are made from some steel not made from this Earth.

Try going to some of the larger craft festivals and look for someone selling leather goods. The National Apple Harvest Festival is this weekend and next weekend. It's about 10 Miles from Gettysburg, PA. I bought a belt from a guy that was making them there. I bought it five years ago and it's a daily wearer and it still looks new.
