Just don't go there looking for stuff you find at typical gun shows like ammo, jerkey, pickles, fudge, jewelry, toys, clothing(other that antique military uniforms) or any kind of modern gun stuff. But for antique weapons there's no other show like it.

Is anyone on here going to be going to this show as a vendor? I have one item that I I considering putting up for sale but, I don't think I commit to a full weekend at the show. If we have a member here that is going as a vendor I would be open to paying someone to display my item for me

I would take it to the show, and look for tables with similar items as they would be most likely to want to buy it from you or even trade. Get multiple offers then sell or trade it to whoever gives you the best offer. Just be sure to write down the table numbers so you can find them again.

Why not post here in the Classifieds? Or is the item something you feel like you'd get more for in front of like-minded collectors?

I’ll most likely be there set up as a vendor.

I am considering selling my 2x scale armorers training model Browning 1918-A2 cutaway rifle. And this show seems like it would the best show to display it at.

This thing is 8' long and weighs close to 60 pounds. It would not be fun to lug around from table to table.

I think it be one of those items that would sell faster and have more people interested at a collectors show.

I’ll most likely be there set up as a vendor.
We should talk about this. It would probably need a full table to itself based on the size. It also has the original transport case with it. It would certainly draw a lot of attention while on display.
I have not fully committed to selling it yet but, I am having a hard time justifying keeping it. If I asked you to display it at a show would mean I was committed to selling it. I see the tables cost $115 for the weekend and there is a limit on the number of tables. I would obviously pay for the table and throw you some cash if I decided to do this.
Is this something you be interested in doing and how soon would you have to know?

For an item like that, unfortunately I and the vendor I work with probably wouldn’t be able to help. We’re going to have a pretty full table as it is with rifles and (maybe) antique pistols. I believe there’s also a waiting list for tables now as well. If I remember right, MACA also asks vendors for a list of exactly how their table is going to be laid out with items (I think it’s in order to keep the cheap jewelry and beef jerky vendors away).

If you find any contact information on the link in the first post, somebody from MACA may be able to help.

I picked up an awesome condition trapdoor last year and some Civil War binoculars. Lots of Civil war stuff there. If you want to just bring some smaller bills, there are plenty of memorabilia to peruse and possibly buy. What I recall someone saying is that although you are not going to find bargain basement pricing, there is very little to no shenanigans with people misrepresenting what they sell.

I've seen people walking around the show in past years with items for sale on their backs including a forsale sign and price.

You will get more for this if you sold it on gunbroker.

I'm guessing you're missing the part about this being an antiques show.
It is considered the best antique gun show in the country and people come from across the globe to attend.

    And rightfully so.

Even if antique firearms aren't your primary thing, it's almost impossible to leave this particular show without a sense of genuine awe regarding what you'll have seen there. WELL worth the time.

Does anyone think I'll be able to find my ubiquitous K11 Carbine at this show without a ridiculous price? I can't find one anywhete for a reasonable price.

This is definitely my favorite show of the year. It's my project gun gun show. I always look for the sad, lonely sporterized Milsurp to adopt and bring back to original configuration.
