Went to the Core Sound S. OuterBanks for the last day of the season.

Saw ducks, but it was a bust.

Teaser was 5 mins after shooting light, about 10000 birds flew over.

Shows how the birds learn from the hunting pressure.

    On to Snow Geese.

My last day of the season was Friday. Set up in the bay and shot at buffies for a few hours. Ended up getting six. Was a good season overall. Canada was great as usual and the new boat worked awesome and I can't wait for next season!

Monocacy was THICK with ducks our first run down this Saturday. Should have come home with some, but just couldn't seem to get my lead right. Honkers were nowhere to be seen though. They were all on farm fields around the ponds that had finally thawed out. Different world vs the previous weekend where it was all geese and only a few ducks.

    1. I certainly hope the guy’s OK.
    2. If I was in my 80s or so this would be an epic way to check out.

Props to the goose for not going out like a punk. But, surprised it does get reported more often. It probably happens a lot.

I've had them fall on my legs a few times and one missed my head last year by about 2 inches. The last thing I want is a 10-12 pound weight dropping on my head from 45 feet up, even if it is covered in feathers.

I had a massive goose nearly fall on me a couple weeks ago. I moved out of the way with about 1/2 second to spare. It was falling from at least 100 feet in the air, so it would have hurt. It landed on my bench and knocked my box of shells on to the ground like they were a bag of popcorn. I don't think I'll be able to move that fast when I'm 80.
