My latest pick up from tonight, a 1915 in .32. The only issue with this one seems to be a missing slide latch bar on the right side, it has no impact on function. I have some ideas on resolving this missing part, unless someone in the crowd has some spare parts laying around or know where one may be?

Not a negative, unlike the "SNS's" of the 1990s these guns were quality but built for carry unlike some of the police guns of the era etc and advertised as such. Has nothing to do with Colt, branding, value, or even quality. Even some of those 1990s guns were unfairly maligned. Pretty cool stuff, Ive almost bought a couple of these.

Not quite yours but cool history.

A good article. I'm up to 16 of them now, it's an addiction for sure. I compare them to Lays Potato Chips, can't do with just one :) The 32's sold for 15.00 with no embellishments, the. 380 when it came out was only 1.00 more priced at 16.00, extra magazines were .50. Pricing was similar to Colt's line up, they gave them some serious competition, and the 10 shot capacity was a selling point for sure!

That is one of the "Holy Grail" guns that collectors seek, please post some pictures of it, when you succeed in acquiring it.

I have one of the 1907 models in .32 ACP.

Hah, I was watching that one and was thinking about bidding when it was stalled under-valued yesterday :)
I figured if anyone would pursue it, it would be you!

Every once in a while SARCO will have a rare & unusual part tucked away in the bowels of their parts bin, have to call "Dave" and get him to take a look.

Yeah I watch that one from the time it posted until late last night, held off on the bidding towards the end it was it like at 460.00 when I started bidding. I've got one in .32 model 1915 I picked up couple years ago cheap from a gun shop up north on GunBroker, they had it listed as a model 1907 and I certainly wasn't going to argue with them :-)

Man that would be super if you could check with that guy about the part, I guess the official name is a slide release bar. I've read that was a common part that was lost in the model 1915 when people would take them apart to clean them. Much appreciated!

Oh and thank you for not bidding on it last night :)

"Machine Gun Dave" is the guy you want to contact - never met the guy :)
I had better luck just calling until he was available, emails were never returned.
Hey I did call him he was very nice he said he would check out his inventory and give me a call back, he called back in about 10 minutes to say he didn't have anything. Thanks for the heads up, that's another possible future part source that I can put on my list.

Ditto. I watched it too, along with the 1907 from the same seller. He puts up some amazingly nice stuff.
"MG" Dave is the man at Sarco. He pulled nice BREN parts for me years ago and is the only person there who knows where the bodies are buried. It'll be hard to find that missing hold open part. Is the magazine the proper 1915 version with the unique follower and mag body with cutout?

It does have the correct magazine. I've got another 1915 32 that I don't have much money in so I can use it for parts gun if I need to.
