I am a DE resident. A co-worker from NJ has made me an offer on a Glock 21 I am considering selling. NJ sends up all kinds of red flags to me. What are my legal obligations to sell a handgun to him?

Or ship it directly to a NJ FFL who will accept shipments from a non-FFL.

You negeoate a price w/ him either with or without shipping.. You ship to the NJ FFL . It is between your friend and the NJ FFL about him taking possesion.

Thanks for the info. That is kind of what I thought. He has since changed his mind, since I mentioned to him what little I new about NJ permit needed. I guess he thought I would just sell it to him no questions asked, because he is a co-worker. Thanks again.

In NJ a handgun can only go to and from a range, gun shop, and from place of purchase to your house. It is not clear if it is even legal to go through a drivethru. I cant wait to leave NJ.

Md resident wanting to change to De resident law questions

I currently own a home in Md and a home in De, I am so tired of the md laws I am ready to switch my license and get my De licsence and become a perminent resident of De. What are the laws when someone moves to De concerning firearm purchases, do I have to wait after getting my licesnce, do I have to re-register all my guns in De, Etc...? Does anyone know the answers to these questions, plus it is my understanding De is not as strict, paper-laiden and full of you know what as Md ex: no more 20 rnd mags in October, new handgun laws...

    No registration.
    No wait once licensed.

Utah Non-Resident Permit (or any other Non-Resident permit) is not honored for DE residents. You must get a Delaware Concealed Deadly Weapon License. It's a PITA but you can get it unlike MD. No G&S required.

You can open carry in most areas.

I'm debating the same permanent move to Lower Slower. Good luck.

You can buy whatever you want day one.

You can apply for your permit day one, but you have to do the prerequisites.
