It will become a problem as soon as they can make it so.

Considering the mindset of the owners, I feel confident thast they are working toward that end.

By the way, when hackers steal huge masses of data including personal data like SSN and affiliations, where do they store that data? And how susceptible to being mined might it be?

It's bad enough when the govt knows all; at least they're subject to some legal constraints, which they occasionally honor. Google and friends are under no such constraint, especially when there's no outside knowledge of their actions or intentions. Of course, their workforce is carefully selected to fit into their desired corporate culture, and guess what? They don't like people who don't agree with them, and they'd like to do something about that, as well.

google is your friend, I am not.
    yep.

Btw, gunbroker pictures often have serial nos. So if you think there is no picture of your gun, there very well could be. Some use stock photos, some actual photos, some the same picture for their entire inventory, so it will depend.

Also if you've bought from the classifieds here...

    etc.

If there was ever a post or picture on the internet, they know.

I looked up one of the gun serials '27-050265' displayed on a different TFB article (HK USP Compact 15 years later) in google. The image of that HK USP Compact popped up. I don't know if this confirms it, but it seems there is a connection. The serial was not in the link nor in the image metadata.

I think he was saying that he ONLY has firearms without serial numbers.

I heard “his old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools.”

Yep. I’m happy to share my tools, too.

not sure what this one does but i suspect it beats drop table. I never learned much sql injection but did a little (probably not enough for a web app) trying to test for vulnerabilities.

It's a command-line injection attack. Basically, it requests the execution of the command "rm -rf *" at the operating system level which, on a Linux machine (which many servers are) deletes (rm) all files (*) in all all subdirectories (-r) right damned now (-f).

    rm is the "remove" command
    -r is the "recursive" option
-f is the "force" option (which bypasses the "are you sure? (y/n)" confirmation)
    * is the filename, which is the "all" wildcard

Don't know if I got the syntax completely correct, but it should cause someone consternation if they're not sanitizing their string pre-processor inputs.
