As I said, I had no solid evidence but had heard this. I spoke with Hoffman in '13 and he was with Lewis then. Someone I know quizzed him on Face book and he indicated to them he was supportive of Lewis now but I have not talked to the sheriff recently.

Yes, meh. Medium.com has been accused more than once of "bias." Searching google for "medium.com" produced "medium.com bias" as the top type-ahead help/suggestion item. They seem to have changed their business model, too. Community-contributed content wasn't paying the bills, so now they have a subscription, backed-up by redistribution of stories from mainstream media outlets ... like Bloomberg.
I wonder if they'd publish a counterpoint op-ed from the 2A community.

And once again they get it wrong. A county Sheriff is not elected by the people of the whole state,they are elected by the county that they ran in and many cases the people of the 2A county support their sheriff 100% as well. So once again blumturd and crybaby moms will lie,cheat,steal and all in all act like little children when they do not get their way...
