    Moved here about a year ago, joined this forum earlier this year but have been extremely busy with work and home renovations to post much. I have experienced the colossal paperwork that Maryland requires to purchase firearms here. One question I have is about trades. If I have a gun to trade and you have a gun to trade, do we have to go thru the whole MSP permit thing? Seems silly since we both already have guns but I can't find any way around it. Anyone else have any suggestions? I'm a LEO so I am exempt from the HQL. Thanks.

    Welcome to MD. Had to sting a little givining up Freedom for living here. Anyway, welcome.

    Any "transfer of possession" blah, blah, blah must go thru the paperwork, at least as I understand it. Someone else here may have realtime first hand experience to the contrary. Good luck.
