“We haven’t seen any abuses of (the law) or people carrying into places where they’re not allowed to,” Sandage continued, adding that “by and large, the people getting concealed-carry permits are responsible gun owners, and they’re going to follow the law as it’s written.”

Well, well, well. Who would have figured that people who took training, underwent background checks, and in general jumped through hoops would turn around and break the law?

    Except that they didn't...

So much for "blood in the streets."

We heard it in Wisconsin and they repeated it in Chicago. Is Baltimore, Newark and NYC next?

yeah, they tell us all the time how not just carrying, but OWNING a gun causes every situation to turn out worse.

Every robbery becomes a murder, and every cup of spilled milk into a everclear fire

    Someone has to say it:

This is why Hogan's new MSP Super should start accepting self defense as G&S sooner rather than later. 3 years of no blood in the streets and it will be a non starter as an issue for the next general election.

Impossible, Frosh said it would be the Wild West if we allowed everyone to carry.

And did any of us here think it would go any other way. Maybe someday us peons in Maryland will be able to show others that we also are responsible gun owners.

Just like they won't be able to ban "assault weapons" after decades almost no crime being committed with them.

The only way to get CCW in MD is for NCR to pass Congress and a bunch off out of state carriers come in to MD and show that CCW is safe.

Otherwise it will take an act of God, via a court case, to give us Shall Issue.

You can all get carry permits. For $5000 I will help any of you start a G&S qualifying business including guidance on the MD Handgun permit process. I am only half joking. ;) Show me the money.

Somebody just said on a CCW topic that the state values your money more than your right to self defense. Hard to say otherwise.

Yet it's ironic that the ones who give the state all the money through taxes are denied the right to protect themselves from the ones who DON'T pay any taxes.

And to add on a similar note, the same criminal justice system that refuses to do what is necessary to protect the innocent will have no hesitation severely punishing the innocent who try to protect themselves by carrying a firearm.

We are nothing more than beasts of burden to our democrat masters in Annapolis (or at least that's how they perceive themselves). They take as much as they want from us and use their liberalism to rationalize it.
