I've been wanting to get the bolt on my Savage BAS-K spiral fluted. Didn't find anyone local who could do the machining. But Tim Hafer (Industry Partner - Hafer's Gunsmithing & Archery Services) came up with a great solution. He did some research with Savage and found out that he could just swap the existing bolt body with the spiral one being used on the new Savage Light Weight Hunter. I took the gun up there today for him to do the work. After reassembly, he checked the head space and all was good to go. The cost was about the same as machining, but the real savings was in time. I'm very happy with Tim's service and the finished product.
