Follow-up: Ran into an issue at the range. Accuracy was incredible, but I was experiencing "nosediving" after the first round on all three magazines that came with the pistol. A close inspection indicated that the internal projection of the slide stop was too long and was coming in contact with the nose of the next cartridge causing the nosedive. Zenith responded immediately by sending me a return authorization and I got the pistol back one week to the day after sending it in. They replaced the slide stop, test fired the pistol with all three magazines and it worked flawlessly. The note they returned with the test report said they sent along two extra magazines "due to my inconvenience". I'm a satisfied customer.
The Llama sorta qualifies , guy told me it wouldnt work with 1911 mags.. it worked great with wilson combat mags.
lol I'm not crapping on the llama but I've gone to at least 10 shootings where someone shot themselves with a llama
"Unfortunately no box or papers... and no spare mags, which are damn expensive."
yeppers, one on Gunbroker for $125, IIRC.
is that about the llama? if so i dont get it cause ive seen them sell for near 400 on GB and it works with 1911 Mags.
Agree. Beautiful gun overall.Love those grips!

Refers to the magazines for somd_mustang's 1961 Colt National Match that shoots .38 Special - not the Llama. I've only seen one of those 1911's once but never got to shoot it. It's an amazing find!
yes, about the magazines.
My wife managed to get the pic with the ejected shell just clearing the pistol.
I'm just glad you said "....shoes."
