Anyone collect swords?

A few years back I saved what I believe to be are two Patton sabers, literally from the trash heap ( long story ). Brought them home, cleaned them up, and they have been sitting in the cabinet every since.
They appear to be the real thing. The cool factor is high with these but I donít have a clue what Iím going to do with them ( a tasteful wall mount maybe ??)
Any info. anyone cares to pass along on these particular swords is appreciated . TIA

I don't collect but thanks for planting the thought into my head to spend more money and become obsessed with more inanimate objects!

Very cool swords!!!

Very cool swords, I collect them and have always wanted a Patton sword to go with all my WWI trench knives.

Those are indeed M1913 sabers. You did well, those would go for about $500 each.

Fortune favors the prepared mind. I'm glad you saved this pair. My understanding is that most Patton Sabres were chopped down to make bayonets, so the 1918 dates signify a couple of true survivors.

After reading the reply's here I learned my "rescue sabres" were worthy of a wall mount and oddly enough wifely agreed. One of the display cases arrived yesterday so this morning I set it up on the bar to see how it looked with the two different backgrounds. I have a spot on the wall that should accommodate the pair after my better half makes the call on the background. Couple of pictures.
