    I'm hearing conflicting stories, can you legally buy stripped or for that matter assembled AR Lowers in Md to use for builds? Build into HBar of course.

    I believe fully built lowers are cash and carry. Stripped require a 77r. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

    Yes, you can either buy them in-store or online and then ship to a MD FFL. Most FFLs will charge you the handgun transfer fee (around $40) for an AR lower. 77r and 7 day waiting period needed.

    Once all that is done, the lower can be built into an AR pistol or a rifle, but if you want to build it into a rifle first, it cannot be built into a pistol later on.
