Loaded up a couple 200gr accubonds with H1000 and some 212gr eldx with retumbo for the 300 win. Going to run these over the chrono this weekend.

I was resizing some 8mm Mauser when my stand holding my presses cracked. It’s one of those from Harbor freight for a drill press or grinder. Real questionable casting appearance. Whole press falls to the floor. FML

What a long weekday of reloading! Almost 400 rounds loaded, including annelaing, lubing necks for consitent bullet release. My thumbs are sore hahaha. All this for a 2 day match next weekend.

The last match we got snowed out of the 3rd relay, match director said bring additional rounds for the make up relay. Unfortunately this is virgin brass that I necked down and not fire formed. I'm going to have fliers for sure. Ordered peterson 6x47 brass with hopes it would make it in time, but doesn't look like it.

Man I’s been a while since I’ve been able to reload much of anything. I’ve been meaning to work up new match 223 loads using IMR 8208 XBR. I had my first OCW live test today. What’s crazy is that I ran 5 groups of 5 rounds 0.2gr difference in charge weight. All 5 groups had almost the exact same POI. The entire 5 groups of rounds were less than 0.3 MOA difference in elevation and 0.2 MOA of windage.

    Not what I expected.

Took off Friday and fine tuned a load for the 6x47 and my new 6mmbr(father's barrel shot out and he is shooting this until gunsmith has time).

For the first time I developed a load off the chronograph for the 6mmbr. Shot rounds in .1gr increments to find the flat spot in fps (< 10 fps). I found a low and a high node just like OCW. Went back and played with seating depth. Actually worked out well but 6BR are easy to load for. I've got it going north of 2900 fps aka dasher speeds, that isn't easy.

Going to shoot long range fclass next weekend, hopefully shoots as well @ 1k as it did at 100 yards.

Don't forget to keep your ammo cool. ;)

Surprised the little 6br did well at 800 and 900. Very little vertical stringing. My dad dropped 2pts at 800 and 4 at 900. 1k was a different story, vertical was still great but wind picked up in the afternoon. This thing should hammer at 600, where it belongs. No pressure signs...a fellow shooter has a 6br with a long throat and he is getting similar velocities.

6x47L shot well, but still a touch more vertical than I'd like. Gonna play around more with that load.

The gunsmith doing my dad's barrel is going to put a barrel tuner on it...more stuff to play with.

Made up test loads for 9 Makarov yesterday as well as 9mm Luger. First time loading for both. See if the loads and bullets work well. 24 rounds of Missouri coated for the Makarov. 24 of 9mm Luger, also Missouri coated and 28 rounds of RMR FMJ.

Oh and made up a stagger load of .223 62gr.

Plan to get those to the range Friday. Along with some 32acp I loaded a couple of weeks ago.

And my AR-10 build that I am hoping to get to on Monday. Taking the week off to get some projects done.

The other night, I checked my reloading log book and found it's been more than 3 yrs since I've done any reloading at all. The "recent unpleasantness" prompted me to do a thorough ammo inventory and fill the calibers that were light. Today I cleaned the reloading bench and tuned up the 550. After that I ran 50 rounds of .45 acp with 200 gr XTP bullets, and 100 rounds of .45 Colt with 200 gf RNFP lead bullets. I can't say I really got into a rhythm but it felt good to crank out some ammo.

After prepping and sorting the last of my brass, it was time to fill some empty ammo boxes. Put together a good stock of .223, 9mm Luger, 9x18mm Makarov and 7.62x25 Tokarev over the last couple of weeks.
Still a few empty ammo boxes remaining, but they are waiting for projectiles, brass, or powders which are currently not on hand.

Set up my Lee Turret for 223 yesterday, and cranked out 25rds of 55gr with 27gr of CFE223. I have the Inline Fab reverse ejector mods for my press, so it went pretty quick (already had the cases prepped). Need to get out there on Sunday and function test / chrono in my multi-gun rifle.
