So she lied, and now Brady is saying it was a straw purchase. Witnesses say she was acting erratic? Hmmm, someone trying to point at Cabela's so she doesn't go to jail?

Yea, let’s not blame the girlfriend that legally purchased the gun. Did Cabela’s do everything it was required to do on their end for the sale? Let’s not sue the girlfriend because there’s no money there. Waiting for “the rest of the story”.

Once again, trying to suggest that the person responsible for killing someone wasn't actually responsible. It was the inanimate object that made them do it.

If Cabela's hadn't sold it to her, she would have bought one somewhere else.

The only lawyers that would have the bandwidth, and monetary contributions, to waste effort on this frivolous suit were Brady lawyers. They're throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks for obvious political reasons.

"It seeks damages related to the 2016 purchase of a pistol and bullets by the girlfriend of a convicted felon who was barred from purchasing a firearm. That gun later ended up in the hands of two juveniles, who also were not allowed to buy or possess firearms." If this lady read, filled out, and signed the AT Form 4473 then its not Cabala's fault. I assumed she passed the background check, or she wouldn't have got the firearm. Be it she had a boyfriend who was a convicted felon or not. If the weapon ended up in the hands of two juveniles, it still isn't Cabala's fault. Some people will do anything to make a buck.

The news report is a little confusing. States the prohibited person had his girlfriend buy a 40cal handgun. He then immediately traded it for a STOLEN 22cal. Then states the murdered woman was killed by the weapon purchased from Cabela’s. He was later sentenced to 27 months for unlawful possession. What about the girlfriend that bought it?

This article appeared in the Wilmington Paper today.

The shooters will be retried due to a mistrial.

    The boyfriend got 27 mos.

There is absolutely no mention of the straw purchaser being charged or convicted.

Hmm...Delaware beefs up it's laws on straw purchase but does not even bother to prosecute her.

Hasn’t the pattern pretty much been the girlfriend of a prohibited person performs the purchase. But then doesn’t get charged because they’re a victim and feared for their life if they didn’t do it?

There is a mention the last sentence after the boyfriend got 27 mos.
Hardwick, who also was charged, was sentenced last month to one year and one day in prison.

    Hardwick is the straw purchaser.
