As in my other thread, i recently got an older Browning Citori. I've started shooting it and have found that the comb is too high. i don't get a good cheek weld and good picture down the sights.

does anyone have a suggestion or a gunsmith i can take it to to adjust it?

    thanks

I assume that you mean it is not adjustable.

Best would be to spend some time with someone who knows how to fit shotguns. You might need wood removed or the stock bent. And that takes specialists.

Unfortunately removing wood implies a refinish as well. I'm in the same position right now with a gun that I really want to keep.
Lengthening the stock will increase drop since your cheek will rest further back on a downward sloping comb.

yeah, ive looked around and am not happy with having to refinish it to have it adjusted. I think im going to sell it and find something that fits me better

Find a Browning stocking dealer. They typically can do a stock fit or refer you. More expensive than a refinsh would be a fresh stock fitted to you. That will cost a nickel or two. A coworker had his wife's shotgun fitted to her. I don't recall where but it wasn't too much travel from his residence. He lives in Cecil county.
There may also be shims available to adjust the stock...but would have nothing to do with reshaping.

I had this same issue. I agree with you that selling and finding one that fits would be the best option. Midwest gun works sells stocks but then you have to get a gunsmith to install it and do the clear coat.

    Maybe you could trade someone?

see if browning offers a wedge that fit's between the stock and the action like berritta supply's.

That won't work because of the way the Citori stock mounts to the receiver. It uses a tang attachment. CitoriBanner1.jpg

Send it to Graco for an adjustable comb. Cost about $300 but it will look like new but better as Browning's adjustable comb hardware is known to be poor.

I measured it and found out that the stock had been cut down, rather than go through replacing the stock, i traded it for another Citori i found and the LGS
