Some importers had brought in some surplus ones, but those have the safety sear that ATF doesn’t like. Even though they don’t have an auto detent for the selector, placing the selector in the middle where it would have been on a regular AK made them go full auto.
There’s an FFL08 importer at my range who owns one built on an early ORF receiver with a kit he brought in. He shoots it with the Yugoslavian sniper rifle ammo as well as German pre-WWII sS-patrone.

They're really neat. I had a M77, similar, but a commercial version in 308 and it was ok. Zastava has a new M91 (not Mosin, but like a PSL) rifle that is like $3k, but supposed to be really nice and shoot well.

Neat gun and should have snagged one for the collection but passed it up for a few Poly Tech AK47 rifles.
