Are the people who fish on my boat not allowed to keep legal sized fish? We have a 19” minimum on striped bass this year for the summer fishery. After the last few years of the 20” minimum and killing more fish that were 19 1/2” to get the 20”, the parties on the boat are happy to have fish in the box at the end of the trip. And I’m happy to have a lower mortality associated with the summer fishing. This isn’t Trophy Season fishing.

The good fishing continues on the upper bay. It took about 30 minutes to get them to bite, but once it started, it was steady.

I haven't been able to get out in a while. Seems like whenever I have time the river has been running high from all the rain, and its back up again after the weekend rains.

Charlie Taylor's weekly report usually has a pretty good summary of what's been going on.

Last Wednesday. Fishing between the Bay bridge and Sandy Point light on the Wild Cat out of Kentmore Marina. Capt. Chet Clough. Light tackle hugging. Caught a 33 and a 31 incher.
