Yep. My lunch is tuna/rice with a slice of canned pineapple and my dinner is rice/ground beef with salsa. Been doing that for years.

You eat the same thing every day? Medical reasons? That just sounds horrible, variety is the spice of life. Have you seen Big Joe's BBQ pics?

You need to get some Green vegetables mixed in that meal plan . You single if you are that explains the meal plan

I also eat green veggies with my meal, just listed the main course. I’m married, wife does her own thing with food.

I’ll have a chest meal once a week. No medical reason, just to like to maintain a lean physique. I was into bodybuilding for awhile and would weight my food, I don’t monitor it that closely anymore but try and stick to the same thing so I can gauge how many calories I eat.

I eat close to the same thing almost every day. My metabolism is so slow now, my body is too efficient. My younger coworkers cannot believe that I eat such a small amount of food each day despite a fair amount of activity required for my job. I like to stay jacked up on antioxidants to control my arthritis, so that kind of limits my diet.

Not so much as prepping for some unforeseen event as much as avoiding having to run to the grocery store every week.

Still working on laying up inventory of canned and dry goods.

3 cases of half gallon jars
3 cases of half gallon jugs
    3 cases of quart jars
    200 lbs of sugar
    50 lbs salt
    30 lbs of sugar cure
    10lbs yeast
    25lbs of flour
    100 lbs of corn meal

Now I gotta round up a bunch of buckets with seals

I bought food grade 5 gal buckets at Walmart but the lids at Lowes since the Walmart lids seemed sub par. Also bought Gamma Seal lids at Lowes for things like sugar and salt that don't need an oxygen free environment.

5 gal mylar bags with O2 absorbers came from Amazon or Ebay. And a hair straightener for sealing the mylar bags from Dollar Tree.

Whole house generator and inverter. As soon as the weather improves we'll put in a concrete pad for the generator and buy a propane tank for it, then get it all hooked up.

I am going to look for those Mylar bags with o2 absorbers now, thanks

I ordered gamma lids , I wish I knew they sold them at Lowe’s

Quick suggestion, I double up the O2 absorbers in my 5 gal buckets. Had a few bags that didn't suck down all the way and stuff like macaroni noodles holds more air than you think. As for gamma kids I like the kids and the idea but am too cheap to buy em. I just buy the standard pull strip lids you beat on with a rubber mallet.

Question for the group regarding my recent Mr. Buddy propane heater buy. I made the purchase through Amazon. As always, they suggest an additional purchase of something related. The suggestion was a refill adaptor to use a 20lb tank to refill the 1lb. So, as I love my family, do I follow the Coleman and Mr. Buddy warnings not to refill these tanks and or use a refilled tank with Mr. Buddy? Or is that just CYA on their part? Thanks.

RE: Amazon...I'm slowly switching my purchases directly to suppliers. It's a drop in the bucket to Bezos, but I can't keep supporting the beast.

Refilling the little propane tanks is a grey area with a lot of CYA lawyer talk added in. IIRC you are not supposed to 'transport' those tanks once they have been DIY refilled. The irony though because MR buddy does sell those refill adapters, does the heater itself say to not use a refilled tank ?

It has been a number of years since I did any refills using one of those adapters and your never going to get as much into them as the original fill using a standard grill tank anyways. Of course always have the bulk adapter hose in prep stock.
