The only piece that remained of the flat spring in the rifle was the end of the spring under the screw that held it in place , the part that was broken off was Not in the rifle so Someone at some point had to have Removed the broken part, Thus as i stated in the message no amount of "aggressive working " of the slide(what i was told the original owner stated to do )would have helped. Had a friend who is a locksmith make me a flat spring and it seems to load and extract now trying dummy rounds. Hoping to finally take it to the range where this time i might actually function. Thanks man, the update as of yesterday is that it seems to be functioning fine with the new spring. Before it would not feed a round, now it feeds rounds perfectly and ejects them well. Put Ten rounds through it yesterday at the range and only one of them was a hiccup which could have very well been the round itself. Big thanks to my locksmith buddy Kurt who is on this board but I can't for the life of me remember his username: :
