I took out the little screw that is on the brace thing on the front of the barrel to try to put on a thing that had a stud for a rifle sling. I had to remove the magazine barrel to put the brace on.

Now I can't get the screw to go back in all the way for some reason. Is there some trick to this?

Those things are a real PINA, did it once and will never do it again. Can't remember how I got it to go.

From what I can remember on mine, it was a matter of lining things up properly and having patience in doing so. Im pretty sure I used a very small diameter punch to get things lined up, then inserted the screw slowly until I got the threads started.

An old trick is to slowly and gently turn the screw counterclockwise until you feel a small notch or click that indicates the threads are lined up. Then turn clockwise. That assumes a right-hand thread.

I took it apart and found that there is a skinny slot across the magazine barrel that I didn't notice before. I just had to line it up with the hole and then screw finally went in.
