Question for inquiring minds. Do all break action shotguns have the same safety related functioning parts?

Every SxS I have automagically sets the safety on when I open the action. They are all field guns, not competition guns. My Superposed Lightning is technically a field gun but it does not auto set the safety.

So from reading various sources; here are the reasons for an inertia trigger over a mechanical:

    1. Simplicity.
    2. When adjusting pull on both triggers, they are adjusted uniformly.
    3. Less of a chance for "fan fire" or double fire (some disagreement, but that seems to be the consensus). Apparently, mechanical triggers have some sort of delay built in to address fan fire.
    4. Faster than mechanical (again, some disagreement, but that seems to be the consensus).

Out of the top four competition shotguns 2 are mechanical (Krieghoff and Kolar) and two are inertia (Perazzi and Beretta). A lot of championships have been won with each of these guns in both American and International circles (except for the Kolar, it’s not a major player outside of the US). In deciding which gun to buy the trigger is going to be pretty far down the list of things I’d be concerned about. Because they’re all good triggers. Because they’re all good manufacturers. Hence why they’re the most popular.
