    The P290 RS has a very sharp-edged, squared-off slide-stop notch:

The edge of the thumbnail on my left (support) hand rests just below the slide stop. Twice now when shooting, the corner of the front edge of the slide-stop notch has torn into the top of my thumbnail when recoiling. Extremely painful.

I'd like to take a Dremel to it and relieve/bevel the front edge of the slide-stop notch a bit, to prevent this from happening (or at least not so bad).

Any issue that I'd cause structural issues to the slide?
