It's not anything that can't be fixed. They didn't chop the metal, and while I still cringe when people chop a stock, it's not like there aren't a million 91/30 stocks out there that they could pop that back into.

    :shocked4: I knew it was yours :D

    "Custom stippling" throughout.
Even the grip screw and escutcheons, and lanyard ring got the treatment.
Unfortunately it's also a pretty rare Spreewerk Zero series.
A truly "WTF were you thinking" moment.

    The horror, the horror...

Maybe it was so badly rust pitted they thought it would hide the rust damage (camouflage so to speak)

I recently bought one almost as bad , they thought so much about themselves they engraved their name on the Frame. was a nice colt series 70, but i got it for 500 so i might have someone tig it in and reblue .

That's not too bad. At least they used decent/matching parts and didn't slop-weld it.
I bet the engraving is shallow enough it can be polished off if you so desired.
That other one is in a class by itself :)

Its a little deeper than that , i wont just buff off it needs to be filled and then smoothed again then reblue , i might be able to take the color off and it might be less visible but it would still be there

You can blue over a weld too as long as you use the right welding material and heat treatments. Its a mixture of science, art and magic to get it right though.
