Last time I was in New Dehli, India for a work trip I counted 26 people urinating on the sidewalk in the 10 minute car ride from the hotel to the office. It did not seem to bother people there. Keep in mind these were people wearing suits. I recall one guy was actually taking a Duke on the sidewalk and he had an american flag tie. I could not make this up.
Either way, I for one, join R. Kelly in supporting this new freedom and look forward taking a good long squeege somewhere in the vicinity of Bloomberg's house as soon the go ahead is given.
I was going to mention similar sightings in Mumbai, but didn't want to spoil positive memories of that trip by equating it with NYC. I could walk anywhere I wanted in Mumbai, night or day, and never felt threatened or at risk. Not so in NYC.
