i was about to say the same thing...im not much for old school guns turned tactical, but that thing seems to pull it off pretty well. that scout rifle is just beautiful though.

The main guy at Grizzly, Lew Bonitz, was involved with Ted Yost at Yost-Bonitz. They built custom 1911's and Browning Hi-Powers and rifles. The two split a while back, Lew concentrates on rifles while Ted Yost and his people continue to build handguns.

I would rather have this if I ever have that much folding cash laying around

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I have a 500 S&W "Bone Collector" revolver and a while ago I inquired about their lever gun in the same caliber. It was a 6-12 month wait and I couldn't find anyone who had ever dealt with them before so I hesitated. I would love a 500 S&W lever gun though. The idea of a 500 S&W revolver and companion lever gun just seems cool to me.

They are nice, but as with any custom gun you deeply must explore the utility as customization is a case of diminishing concerns. Frankly, you could get 4 to 5 Rossi's in a variety of calibers and configurations for these funds and Rossi's really can be very fine guns with a little breaking in or stonework. I have several Marlins, Winchester and Savage lever guns and while the Rossi's are certainly rougher around the edges and need some reliability and sight tweaking.........they are just as accurate or better.

To me a lever gun is about utility, its a camp companion, trunk companion, horseback companion. Plus for utility you can get almost anything you need out of a .45 ACP or .357/.38 model.

That said we can all dream!

For another Overpriced but droolable gun, Id love one of these in a 16" takedown. That would be my perfect traveling companion.
