Hey, new to the site and to MD/PA gun laws. From what I've read you can go to an out of state gun show and purchase most long guns as you would if you were in state. Pistols, if I read correctly, are still restricted to in-state buyers. Is that correct, or did I misread something? Thanks!

You can purchase from a FFL. Face to face between residents of different states is illegal. Not all the people with guns at their table are FFLs. I think you could have have a dealer at the show handle the transfer if you want to buy something from a private person.

Ok, so I think I got it- rifles/shotguns-ok to purchase from an FFL at the show. Pistols, I'm just SOL unless one of the dealers transfers it to an FFL in MD.

I was asking myself the same thing. Its a big show. Strange no recon reports.

I went with a Marine buddy of mine. Nice show, IMO. Lots of vendors with a lot to look at. Just picked up some snap caps and other odds and ends. Really wanted to get a Nagant on the cheap, but… well, that will have to wait. Unfortunetly, I can't comment on the prices, as I haven't really been to enough shows to say. The prices seemed generally lower than MD stores, but slightly more than a few southern VA stores I've been to.

Not sure why, but I don't ever recall seeing less recon on a large show as this one.
