Folks in Frederick say that Hagerstown is full of inbred rednecks.

lol! that's funny, because when I'm in DC or Balitmore, I just tell people I'm from Frederick (which isn't entirely untrue), and the general consensus is that *Frederick* is way out of the way :D

OK Boys, here is the final word on Western Maryland. In January 1991, Governor William Donald Schafer declared Western Maryland consisted of Frederick, Washington, Allegany and Garrett counties and had official "Western Maryland" maps printed showing only those four counties. I have one of those maps. That seems to be the official word. I know this, having lived and worked in Western Maryland, there isn't a better place to live.......if only it wasn't in the Peoples Republic of Maryland.

I live in Frostburg now after liivng in Keyser, Wv for the first 16 years of my life and I can't think of many other places I'd rather live. The people are down to earth, but not ridiculously redneck, ignorant, and stereotypical. I love it here in the Appalachians. I go outside at least 2x a week and go 1/4 mile and shoot until my hearts content for free. NO range money or time limits....
