Well not exactly. You definitely aren't grown up, nor do you see the future consequences of your so called gun control agend. I love the one video I saw yesterday, of a grandma aged woman who was yelling at a conservative reporter "I don't need guns, I sleep with my door unlocked". I was waiting for the reporter to ask for her address, since she feels so safe.

Agreed. The last time the Democraps went all in for incramental gun bans was in 2000 with Algore, and they got spanked by the "silent majority".
And that dislike is spread across the political spectrum. Didn't a famous band with, um, leftward leanings, author and sing the line "'Cause if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao, you ain't gonna make it with anyone, anyhow"? It was released before my time, but IIRC it was a very popular song.
Bitterly strident people are just difficult to be around, even if you agree with their POV. You don't want one on your side because they do a lot more to help the adversary than allies.
Honestly, people like that need guns for protection. That fat sack can’t even touch his toes, let alone run from a threat. His only option is to stand and fight and I don’t see much winning in his future without a firearm.

Which is one of the reasons that folks on our team need to be thoughtful about appearing in angry-looking groups wearing camo and tacticool gear with signs decorated with pictures of black rifles. Most of the middle-of-the-road people we have even a CHANCE of reaching are already rhetorically shut down when that's the first taste they have of what you're about to say to them.

Yesterday, a condescending C sucker came up to a couple of us and was trying to dress us down, not angrily but in a down his nose sort of way. One kid next to me, I forgot his name but he was very eloquent had some replies to the ahole. The guy kept asking what was up with the suit, etc and referenced us to some low wage, inbred group of heathens. Then he looked down upon me and asked what I did for a living and if I had any AR 15s. I replied yes and that I was the IT Manager.Sr. Network Engineer for a large CPA firm in DC and unfortunately, due to my wanting to punch this effer out, I burted out my yearly salary in a way to show we are from different walks of life. Apologies in advance to all with me. He was taken aback that I was not some dumbass and made good money.
This is the people we are up against. If we pulled this crap to people on the other side we would be deemed racists, etc..
Again, I apologize to the couple of fellow picketers for my antics. I was properly " scolded" by a veteran to not engage with too much emotion. I cannot stand the other side. Wanted to just eff that ahole up. See? even writing about it is making my blood boil. Maintain low tones. lol

This is why I do videos and memes ... as a release. Besides my age and poor health, I couldn't bear the onslaught that all of you endured yesterday if I were to have joined you 'on the bricks'. While I don't fear them, I do fear my own gut reaction. In your situation, I would have popped him or popped my own cork trying to stem my anger.
My admiration to all who kept their powder dry, as we will need it in times that come.

I think the word "tyranny" gets tuned out when talking to these folks. Instead they need to be asked why they favor the formation of a military state. Why do they think it's a good thing if only the military and police have arms? Our essential position is no to a military state, and yes to personal liberty. Make them own the fact that they favor a military state.
