    Anyone else see an awesome meteor go from south to north over the Bay/eastern shore at around 11:05 on Wednesday night? I saw it from the western shore - it was spectacular. Yellow ball with a bright green tail and 'stuff' coming off of it.

    I was on assateague island and saw it. It was to the east of us but very close to overhead. Very impressive. Saw green and blue in the tail

    Interesting - thanks for the followup. So hard to judge those things. It was low in the sky for me but seemed so big I would have thought it augured in just north of 50 - but it was east of you!

    East of assateague island but not by much. Maybe 10-15 degrees away from directly overhead.

    Apparently one exploded over Ontario that evening as well.

    I'm saw a shooting star sometime last week around that time way up here in Harford, east of me but traveling south to North in the horizon.

    It looked pretty big, fast and bright
