A friend asked if I would 'take' them. The wind was whipping, the river was too high for my tastes.
But this friend has kids and is limited when to go.
    SO we go.
2 canoes, way too much stuff, 25 MPH winds, high water,
we found a great campsite on an island, and used driftwood for the fire.
The kid was WORTHLESS. 12 yr old lazy boy.
    Fishing was difficult at best.
Still, we had a good time, and I am sore as heck.
Woke up too early, DNR pulled us over, were 100% professional, and gave us warnings for "No Whistle" which I had no knowlege of the law. Fair.
Then they gave us whistles which we strapped to our life vests. Nice touch.
Today was "Warning Day." Every person we talked to only got a warning.
Apparently if you have an electric trolling motor you need to license your
    canoe in MD.
Tomorrow may be "Money Day" for DNR.
