That’s pretty freaking cool, it sure makes me appreciate my M12 Rover! I’d probably burn the house down with that.

Yeah, we used them when I was in Boy Scouts for spelunking trips. A cousin of mine did the same when he was at Davis and Elkins College and in the caving and climbing club there. He said you learned very quickly not to look directly at the rope when climbing with a cabide lamp on your helmet. :D

I went to Davis and Elkins! Been to school house cave a few times! Interesting times at Friar Tucks and Brandy’s! You just brought backs some great memories from back in the early 80’s!

My wife was thanked by co-worker last week for the heads up on stocking up. A few weeks ago my wife mentioned to this woman that we were stocking up on food and supplies in case the supply chain breaks over the pandemic. This woman apparently decided to do the same and had a few week head start over the other crazies.

When the CCP started 30 day, then 60 day mandatory quarantines in January over the Wuhan virus I started asking others ...

‘If you had to go straight home and stay home for a month or two, would you have enough food and supplies to last? Just think about it’

Last week after the panic had cleared shelves in MoCo, one person was angry at me because she had little in her house. Highly educated science nerdy type but zero ability of fore thought.

NOPE - refrigerator pickles are great. You boil water and vinegar and mustard seed, caraway, and I forget seeds,
slice the cukes, stuff them in mason jars with fronds (I SAID FRONDS)
of Dill, garlic cloves, peppercorns, and I forget, you pour your boiling solution over the cukes, let them cool, into the fridge, and really good pickles.

Stupidity has even hit here in Rehoboth Beach. At least the gas stations and most restaurants and bars are still open. Looked in both Giant and Safeway.

Came here yesterday returning to Fredneck Thursday. They have 5 different grocery stores along the main drag and a CVS and few other drug stores. Went out this morning about 9am and those were the pics. Everyone’s going batshit all over. Shopping carts full of perishables and frozen. All paper products gone.

You didn't happen to know a guy by the name of Brian Ball did you? I think he would have been there around that time. He eventually owned The Red Fox at Snowshoe with his wife Margaret Anne where I worked for several years in the early 2000s.

I have family from there as well. Second cousin owned a B&B up on the hill and also owned the Star Bookstore and Cafe. Scotties, BTW is still going strong. ;)
