What does this group think a decent price range for a colt p1776 ( nickel 7.5” ) 44 sp. smooth walnut, factory matching box. Never shot, 1980, turn line on cyl. Orig mex bob? Anyone else.

A 1980 is an early 3rd gen Single Action Army. Some will scoff at it and some won't. I have an even earlier 3rd gen and it's a nice piece. Evaluate it on its own merits. Nickel plating adds a premium. I don't know the production numbers but many prize the .44 Special chambering. A turn line isn't unusual but it means the revolver has been handled and probably dry fired a lot or the timing may be suspect.

I think if you can check it out thoroughly and make sure the timing is ok anything under $2k is a fair price but many would pay more just because it's a Colt SAA and they might not find another like it.

Be advised that Colt has increased production of them within the past year so they're not as hard to find as before...but that really means any increase from nearly no guns leaving the factory to a few is kind of a stretch of the term.
