Had a family hostage after the shooting, in the houses behind the Giant on 299.

They got the suspect. Not sure if killed him or not.

Getting details from my sister who is right around the corner from there.

The school district lockdown has been lifted.

Shots fired at the scene in Brick Mill, so the may have shot the suspect. He was firing at officers.

Trooper identified as 32 year-old Corporal Stephen J. Ballard, a Bowie, MD native.

He was on the DSP force for 8.5 years. RIP
