I know this is a gun group but several of us do other things once in a while.

I am looking for a used 10 foot sit on top kayak for fishing when I just have a couple of hours or if I want to do skinny water or small ponds. I have a 14 foot fully tricked out kayak that I use when I go in the bay/ocean and can spend the day fishing.

I have selected 10 feet for weight and storage and frankly don't need another full size.

I am willing to drive for the one that I want.

You can now go back to shooting or cleaning.

    Thanks in advance.

    Seconds on a used SOT.
#2 son always wants to use mine which means I'm using one of the sit-ins.

I highly recommend the Ocean Kayak Trident 11.

I have all three boats in the Trident series (11, 13, 15) and the 11 footer is the one I use the most. Best size for portability and weight, but tracks and paddles quite well for a short boat. Also, the capacity for the Trident is 100lbs greater than most other 11-foot class boats. I'm 230lb and I don't even flood the footwells when lightly loaded in fresh water.

You can find them used on craigslist from time to time, or get them on clearence from Appamatox River Company at the end of the summer/fall sale

Don't discount a stable Sit in for back calm waters. They are lighter and easier to carry as you can put the paddle inside and rest the cockpit on your shoulder to carry it.

But if you want a SOT, Older Tarpon 100 hit craigslist and other places once in awhile.

I have a sit on top kayak in garage. Both sons moved out and I don't use it while I'm in my canoe. PM me an email and I'll take a picture this weekend to send anyone interested.

Sorry all. The wife talked me out of selling our kayak. We're buying a house in Lewes DE that has access to a dock/pier. We we're keeping it for when the sons visit. Thanks. Good luck searching.

I'm trying to keep myself from buying a new one, my brother swears by his Kaku Wahoo 12.5 and he's got me just about ready to pull the trigger on one unless I can find a decent used stable fishing kayak somewhere.

Peddal and Paddle at Quiet Waters park in Annapolis is having a big end of season sale on kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. He wouldn't give up his 10 foot OC's though. :sad20:

Run don't walk as he has some very good deals. He also has bicycles for sale.
