Since I'm on the subject, this CZ82 might be considered obscene, if you believe in originality. Still seems to me to be an improvement over chipped black paint and plastic grips. YMMV, of course.

Actually, it's not a conversion kit at all. It's a straight-up 22 cal, out-of-the-box CZ pistol; frame was never anything but a 22. That's the real unicorn factor.

That's really cool. What threw me off was the frame and the box. I'm not sure when CZ updated their rollmark from, 'Made In Czechoslovakia' to 'Made In Czech Republic' but I think it was during the early 90's after the wall came down? Same with the box. I'm not sure when they updated from the cardboard box over the Styrofoam insert to the more familiar plastic box with the CZ logo on it. Either way, it's a great piece of CZ history.

I also like the 82/83 when some refinishing work is done. They look so much better afterwards.

Just for the sake of completeness, for those who might be interested, the box illustrated contained the familiar plastic box, no styro.

    CZC Bull Shadow 2

The Bull Shadow 2 fits a CZ Custom Bull Shadow upper to a CZ Shadow 2 lower. This particular example has been converted to SAO and fitted with a CZ Custom flat aluminum trigger, had a trigger job performed with extra tweaking for SAO, and among other goodies, a competition hammer and a short reset disconnector.

Not exactly sure what it is about this pistol that makes recovery time between shots seem like there isn't any (at all) but, I didn't even bother turning-on the Venom's red dot and yet had no problem consistently hitting steel targets at 10-12 yards. Only had time for 100 rounds today but, it was very impressive to put it mildly.

I want to do something like that to my P-01. My eyes aren't what they used to be.

Neither are mine! That's why I wanted to start transitioning from iron sights to a red dot. My friends all swear by them and they're all geezers, like me, with the same kind of vision issues.

Basically, though, if you can dream it up, CZ Custom can build it. Just give Stuart call and tell him how you'd like to transform your P-01.

Here's some pics of a friend's (now get this) 'Bull Shadow SP-01 Compact' that he bought as a 20th wedding anniversary present for his wife, who is also an avid shooter. It's a one-of-a-kind build. BBQ gun. You really don't want to know the price, trust me, but to say she was freaked-out/happy/thrilled would be an understatement. That gun started life as an SP-01.

Hadn't seen a new matte stainless 75 for sale in quite a while. One of these days I'll know to stay away from Engage. Too many cool toys!

That is gorgeous. If I tripped over one of these with a decocker in a shop it would be hard to go home without it.

Sadly, CZ builds the stainless 75 only with manual, ambidextrous thumb safeties. It would be nice, though, to see them come out with either a stainless SP-01 or a 75 Compact.

I think a Stainless SP-01 would be awesome!

I'd be all over that like stink on a monkey! Truth is, CZ is scaling-back their production of stainless 75's which might be the reason why it had been so long since I had seen a new one for sale. I read somewhere that the bright, high-polished 75 has been discontinued for 2020.

Zzzzz_man, you just saved me a lot of money!

I like de-cockers on Sigs and (old) steel/alloy-framed Walther pistols but, I prefer the manual thumb safety on CZ's. Pretty much all I shoot anymore are 1911's and CZ's and it makes the transition back and forth between them pretty easy. I also think the trigger is a little less 'creepy' than the BD models.
