From an FFL in any state where said item and transaction is legal, and legal in the buyers state.

Typically that works out to either buyer's or seller's state, but doesn't have to be. They might live near a tripple border, or meet at an mutually out of state event, competition, or hunting trip.

I'd think an AR-10 .308 pistol with no brace would kind of suck, but we are still taking like a 4+ pound "pistol" here. Not like some 28oz plastic frame wunder pistol.

I realize we are taking somewhat over 2x the muzzle energy in a .308, but my a little over 5lb 10.5" .223 wylde AR pistol doesn't kick all that much shooting one handed.

I would imagine a 7.5" AR-10 pistol would through bean bag chairs, not beach balls of flame.

My 50 Beowulf without a brace isn't all that bad. It's manageable, so I'm guessing the 308 wouldn't be that much more.

Probably depends heavily on the round being fired. 147gr M80 equivalents, maybe not so bad. I can't imagine shooting the 175gr 308 rounds I handload for my 308 Garand out of a pistol. The Garand loves them, my shoulder, not so much.
