Mil-spec is a VERY loosely used term in the AR world! The US department of defense determined what "specs" needed to be done in order to be TRUE Mil-spec.
Dimensions are NOT the only determination for "Mil-spec"
The type of materials used, Process for anodizing it, Certain parts (bolt head, barrel) need "metal particle tested", Barrel & chamber have to be chrome lined. Grade 8 bolts for the gas carrier key & properly sealed and staked! Just to mention a few "specs" needed to be TRUE Mil-spec.

Get the Colt, sell the airsoft furniture on it for some man parts. Throw on knights or YHM rail, get some real BUIS and your set.

Thanks for all of the help, and patience. Sorry to be a disappointment but I opted for the Daniel Defense M4 V2

Spent three hours at Gun Connection and those guys were absolutely great!

Im not too fond of the mbus but i use the moe hg's on my colts and bcm's. I guess i just dont have "manly" guns.

I ordered mine. BCM 14.5" midlength lightweight upper, BCM full auto BCG, and gunfighter charging handle. CAN NOT WAIT!

One of my current bcm's is a 16" lw midlength. Sweet shooter although some people that shoot it complain about the battlecomp thats on it. Enjoy it man.
