I like your enthusiasm. I could not talk myself into running for a dove!
My best (though sort of out of season and in a State that doesn't allow dove hunting) was a hip shot at 40 yards on a dove sitting in a tree with a K38. I could never make that shot again in 100 years!
Good to see guys shooting older and very good Winchesters. I have a 50 and a 59, but I'm using a 28ga O/U on doves these days. Seems to be plenty of birds this year. 15 yesterday and will give it another whack on Thursday and Friday.
