So who exactly is going to fund the Armory as a public relations venture for the 2A? The NRA? Me? You (meant generically and not a specific person who wrote in this thread)?

Pick the top 5 posters among our IP's. Every one of them would be successful in Annapolis. Gun stores are businesses not billboards.

Just like a restaurant, they have to satisfy their customers. I like Mexican food, but I'm not going to spend my money at a local Mexican restaurant, where the margaritas are watery and the tacos are extra greasy and overpriced, served by an unfriendly and inattentive staff.

We have seen unhappy customers post about every IP. Everybody who does business with the public has their share. As long as you have plenty of happy customers, things are good. Evidently, by the comments, not enough happy campers.

Went in there two or three times. Never had a particularly positive business experience.

2A sales, Shooter's Discount, and Freestate are my current favorites, despite what they have done to my bank account.

My friend Jeff worked in there, former LEO. I just liked to go into there and talk to him once in a while.

In a van, down by the river.
I used to stop in occasionally, but I tired of asking them to do favors like answer a question or ring up a purchase. Last purchase I actually made there was 9/11 when I bought some 9mm. Been there several times since - always a waste of time.

I went in there once and was completely ignored. When I (finally) got someone to even look at me, they were extremely rude. Their prices were ridiculous, and so was their attitude. I never went back in. Good riddance.

Hopefully a shop will open in the Annapolis area with knowledgeable, friendly staff who want to do business and help the firearms community, rather than rip people off...

The above was my exact same experience at the Armory. The only thing about their closure that surprised me was that it took this long for them to close. There are plenty of good shops that I would rather give my business to, so I won't miss a thing.

The only reason that the Armory ever came to be is that the owner of the property used to have a gun store there and gave Hal a good deal. Bob, the property owner is in close to, if not already, eighty and probably will be looking to sell sometime in the near future. I don't see another gun shop ever opening up there.

I actually met Bob. He seemed like an okay guy and I always wondered where he went.

I'm way late to this thread, but good riddance to them. They had the worst customer service of any gun shop I have ever been in. And their prices were ridiculous.

Although I think their site is no longer turn-key.

    +1. I really like that little shop!:D

And Larry always treated me very well. I don't think their volume would support the rent on West St, though.
