The article itself states how the killer purchased the firearm legally....sooo.....? How about if your workers had concealed carry permits and dropped the killer at entry?

still no one out there trying to ban alcohol or cell phones despite all the drunk and distracted death and carnage. thinking it's not really about saving lives, just what is convenient to some.

"No one can definitively argue that if this bill had been approved by this committee in the 2018 session, John McNamara, Rebecca Smith, Wendi Winters, Rob Hiaasen and Gerald Fischman would still be alive."

BS, yes we can state unequivocally it would make no difference. A) he bought the gun legally, B) he was not a prohibited person, C) MD legislation most always has an effective date of 1 October.

MD Gazette as usual trying to hide their total fault in the matter. Editor was a spineless coward who knew he could’ve pressed the issue to keep the guy away from the building and staff. Instead he chose not to “escalate” the matter and let the guy stew for years until he snapped. Editor’s choice to avoid confrontation in a court led to an even worse one, and now he points fingers instead of admitting culpability.

Gun grabbers want to pass off the blame, but the reality is that their own actions and biases lead to gun violence and self-victimization. Ban guns and the state will enhance the capabilities of the law breakers. Just look at Baltimore and Chicago to see the power of the lawless.

The Capital Gazette staff are living in a dream world. They think that by using words and painting a picture of a fairy tale of a gun free world, their colleagues will not have died in vain. They are wrong. The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

Those dumbasses never learn, do they?

It's actually a DISGRACEFUL and RUDE headline - using the deaths of innocents to further your ...cause?

Stupid is as stupid does. If the guy bought the shotgun LEGALLY how is ANY law ever going to change what happened?

But I guess they need to start the ball rolling for full and completely outlawing ownership of any firearm. I guess it's just another version of how you eat an elephant...

It is only extremists who want this bill stopped. They ignore the death at their doorstep.

Uh, no, we engage in death if they dare cross our doorstep. UNLIKE YOU.
You should be ashamed of yourselves, letting people die/ and Lecturing us. This is some seriously poor writing.

The Crapital Gizzette thinks they own the moral victim high-ground. But, its said that they caused these fellow workers lives. Spineless editor and the owner let this drag on. The perp went nuts over their reporting. Other than the easy/sloppy writing, they offer no counter point.
