I hope that the authorities don't find this.

If something happens and the authorities found this, that could make whatever happened premeditated. And could give the op enough rope to hang himself.

Just my opinion, I have no legal back round.

I've never experienced it, and don't recall knowing anybody who has dealt with a nutty neighbor who tried to kill his son and knows no boundaries. This guy sounds like a one-off. The stuff of I.D. TV.

Let's remember this thread because when the OP sells out and relocates, the purchaser will pop up here starting a thread about his neighbor from hell, and we can link him to this thread.

I've done legal battle against intelligent, sane individuals and they were much more predictable. The guy in the trailer sounds completely nuts and thus unpredictable.

Be careful out there.

OP, that does sound like a sucky situation. It's certainly not the dream you were envisioning.

One thing I have not heard mention of is lawyering up. If you are going to have to, far better to do it early rather than late. I suspect that a good lawyer could help you with some options and help you get started on a strategy.

Another thing that comes to mind is that it seems peculiar to me that a crazy man can manage to keep up with taxes and property upkeep. Perhaps a good lawyer could finagle a way for you to end up as owner.

Does he know how to weld?

'Cause that's how you get Kill Dozer II, the sequel.

Well, actually, was thinking that there may be some unpaid taxes. Somebody would end up owning it. The crazy guy (potentially) did it to himself.

I have this. It's been pretty great. Unlike ring and the others, you don't need to pay for any subscription. The homebase inside your house has storage and houses the pictures/videos on site. It also acts as the doorbell chime. The motion detection works well and choosing "human only" does only trip it of a person is in the camera. You can also set activity zones for motion activation to limit when it trips.

The phone app works well and allows you to access all the recordings, get alerted to recordings/doorbell rings, use the 2 way audio/video, and record directly to your phone.

The battery holds a charge for a while and can be hooked up to doorbell wiring if available. To charge, put a pin in the underside of the hanging bracket and the camera pops out. Charge it and then click back in for another month or so of use.

Being battery powered, you can toss a bunch of these cameras anywhere within wifi range and have a pretty solid video perimeter set up.
