    Those stainless guns are gorgeous.

What kind of grips are you guys using? I like the palm swells on stock CZs, but I’m not wild about the rubber material. Anyone using a G10 grip with the same swells as stock?

I've got VZ Diamondbacks on my PCR. I went with standard over palm swell and they do a great job.

Went with walnut grips and stainless grip screws for the 75. I ordered them from CZ-USA.com last week.

Man, if you'd have told me I'd be out at the range on December 26th wearing only a sweat shirt, jeans and a ball cap, I'd have said you were crazy, yet, that's all I had on this afternoon to try-out my new matte stainless CZ 75B. Temps were pushing close to 60.

Usually, I prefer to test a new pistol on paper before trying to shoot it at pins and steel but, I was too lazy to drag a target-holder out of the shed and set it up down range. Plus, if this new pistol acted anything at all like the other four CZ 75 variants I own it would perform as expected with just a good clean and lube beforehand.

This new one was no different. I took my time and ran 150 rounds thru it without any issues: (50) Geco 124gr FMJ, (50) Winchester WB NATO 124gr FMJ and (50) Magtech 124gr FMJ. My other CZ's eat that stuff up, especially the Winchester NATO. If I was going to shoot a casual steel match, it's the factory ammo I would use. The increase in accuracy more than offsets the slight increase in felt recoil. CZ 75's tend to be soft shooters regardless of configuration.

It ran like every CZ 75 I've ever shot. The factory sights leave a lot to be desired. The DA/SA trigger isn't great but definitely gets better with use. Accuracy is (way) above average for a stock pistol shooting factory ammo. For me, there's always a lot more to like about CZ's than to dislike.

Zzzzz_man, thanks for the review. That is a beautiful gun. I know the finish shouldn’t be a big deal, but I am a sucker for a gorgeous stainless pistol.

I’m a newcomer to the CZ world, and so far I’m impressed. The accuracy is good, and everything about the 75 series seems well thought out—everything there for a reason.

Two things that take some getting used to for me: not much slide to hold on to when racking, and the hook trigger. The first can be learned through training, but since my other guns have large slides to grab, going back and forth can take some getting used to. The hook trigger I could probably just replace with a flag trigger, which I prefer.

I'm a big fan of a satiny matte stainless finish. CZ doesn't do it to the same level as, say, an Ed Brown 1911 but, it looks good and is durable. I like it more than a lot of the PVD-type finishes that everyone is using on handguns nowadays.

Yes sir, it's the biggest knock I hear about the 75 from shooters used to racking the slide of either a 1911 or a Glock/Sig service pistol. You just gotta get used to it, I guess? My background is mainly 1911's and (older) Walther pistols carried by the German military/police. Racking a CZ 75 has never been a major problem for me because I don't have excessively large hands. Otherwise, the slide serrations are more than aggressive-enough to get the job done quickly/efficiently. Once I get my index finger and thumb on them, it's no problem at all but, if you've got hands like Lebron James, it definitely wouldn't be as easy for you as it is for me.

I agree. The stock trigger is a PITA at first but becomes more instinctive with use. I don't hate it but I don't like it very much either.

Brothers Josef and František Koucký were some pretty smart dudes. I think there's a reason that the CZ 75 is one of the most copied designs in history. ;)

Nice 75s! I am waiting on a basic 75 BD to add to my CZ collection, which includes CZ 50 and CZ 82s. Also have a few rifles. When is the CZ Bren going to be available?

Cross posting from different thread, but I suppose it's porn-y enough for this thread, too. Thought I'd get a picture of it tonight before I get it all grubby at a steel match tomorrow.

FYI - it looks like CZ has discontinued both versions of the stainless 75 (matte and polished) so I'm feeling kinda lucky that I got one of the last they'll ever build. It would be a shame if CZ completely stopped building a stainless pistol but, my gut feeling tells me they won't. More likely they'll start building either a stainless Compact or an SP-01.

Has anyone seen the CZ 75 long slide?,i noticed one on gunbroker recently and wow...

I've seen it for sale on CZ Custom's web site. They'll produce a limited number of them every couple of years or so but I don't see any available right now.
