    Howdy!

    Mostly a lurker, but with some posting so far. Not the type who needs to post just for the sake of posting. You are great at covering the issues without my input. :)

    But I want in to the WC! :cool:

    And just noticed this Introductions section.

    I do get to MD quite often. I also carry as much as possible, in any manner legally possible. I have my PA, and Utah carry licenses, and plan to apply in AZ and yes, even MD. I do find the MD hunting license to allow some open carry in MD, but I'd much rather have the license to conceal.

    I thought it was 50 posts? I have more than 20 now, and was in a discussion that got moved, so now I'm excluded. :envy:

    Where abouts in the Poconos? We go up there every once in a while. I grew up closer towards Philadelphia in Delaware County. Welcome to the forums!

    Right at the base of the poconos, Jim Thorpe. Between the Scranton/Wilkes Barre and Allentown/Bethlehem areas. It's a great place. We had that westward expansion out of NY and NJ pretty much come to a halt just around here, as two hours is about the limit those working in the city are willing to drive each way. So we've seen some of the problems that brings, but on a much smaller scale than most of the Poconos, such as Stroudsburg and Pocono Mountain. Of course the locals see the "imports" as coming in with money, driving up the real estate market, and wanting to make the town in to whatever their vision of a "quaint little town" is. During the tourist seasons, there are traffic issues, but that's just a good reason to get out of town, and head to MD. :)

    We've always had tourist traffic from Philly in town. But we can deal with all the Eagles fans. Even though I'm a Cowboys fan. :D

    So many people that move away eventually come back. Sometimes it takes them that distance to appreciate how nice it really is in this area.

    We have friends that have places up there near Stroudsburg and usually every year or so we'll go up to do some rafting and of course, have some fun over at Skirmish. I spent a few summers as a kid camping up at Resica and Bushkill Falls. Good times and some great memories!
