Well, the goofy thing with the Sparc AR is that it comes with a fairly nice rubber protective cover. The lens caps are connected to it by floppy plastic strap things. The idea is that you pop the lens caps, and then fold them backward on top of each other and they plug into each other which keeps them off to the side. So I'm not worried about protecting the optic itself, just having the lens caps flop around and get in my way if they should pop off of each other at some point.

I see why they did it, which was to hit a pricepoint, and I'm not whining about it because I think the optic was a good deal. Would I like spring loaded lenscaps like on an aimpoint? Sure, but I'm happy with the price I paid. :)

I pretty much leave mine pealed back open. It's my HD gun so, when it's home, it's always open. Only time I close it is during transport.

How do you like your PDW? I friggin love mine! Money well spent and well worth the wait. They emailed me the minute they hit the market so I ordered directly from them. I think it was $10 shipping and it showed up in less than a week.

Let's see if people can just leave it at that(I doubt it though). :sad20:

Did you ever get your 'friend' out of jail? The one who likes 9mm? ;)

My budget build. First AR pistol.

    New Frontier poly lower.
    Pieces parts lower parts.
PSA 8.5 ' upper with mlok.
    KAK tube as shockwave.
    Ruger rapid deploy sights.

All on sale stuff. Came in around $550.

I thought the poly lower might be problematic...but not so far at about 400 rounds.

Might put on a Spikes lower I have and upgrade to magpul sights. The aperture on the rear Ruger site is stupid small.
