I have a cheap Turkish made pump shotgun that doesnt eject shells very well so I took it apart and found the the extractor is extremely weak so I wanted to put a stronger spring on the plunger of the extractor. It looked about the size of some springs from an ar lower kit so I ordered a kit but had no luck. Is there anywhere I can buy an assortment of tiny springs? My internet searching has come up with nothing so far

    Thanks,
    Joma

There are 2 easy sources for springs. The simplest, is to buy Wolff springs for the gun. Brownells sells them along with a number of other vendors.

The harder, but still easy option is to use McMaster Carr. Take out the spring you want to replace. Measure OD, ID, spring length, and wire diameter. Find a spring on McMaster’s website with the correct OD, ID, and wire diameter. If you want a stronger spring, get a thicker wire. If you want a weaker spring, get a thinner wire. Order a 12” length, and cut to length.

Hard option... Order music wire and wind your own spring.

Measure your spring, length, number of coils and diameter of the coils. Call Wollff Gunsprings and talk to their techs. They will tell you what they have available for your situation.

Those are the things you need to spec a spring.
