Good Luck, you're going to need it.

Ruger may bring it back if and when they get the 1895 line up and running again.

If you are planning to shoot lead, look for a rifle with Ballard rifling. Micro-Groove is good for jacketed only but it is better than no rifle.

This is a longshot but when I was in HNP Muzzleloading , in Essex, back in January he had at least 1 maybe 2 of them. You may want to give him a call and see if it's still available 410-238-1708. Small shop, very nice people they do have odd hours.

Great little shop there , used to love the discount table behind the rifle cabinet in the middle of the shop.

Fun caliber if your shoulder likes punishment and thats the lever swings seems like eternity.

You may have to resort to Gunbroker, quite a few for sale some not too badly bid up.

Cva single shots in .444 are often available for $250 ish. I know you’re asking about levers but thought I would mention it. Good luck.

My Winchester has no recoil pad just a plate attached to the stock and talk about shoulder punishment! I use a slip on pad and that helps but stil itís a beast!
Good luck to the OP I hope you find one you like!

Ya my .444P has a recoil pad but a short barrel and the porting really doesnt seem to do much. But its fun to take out a couple times a year.
