So I got rear-ended the other day (everyone is fine); however, my Barnett RC-300 crossbow was in my trunk at the time.

Fast-forward to today and at the repair shop, the were able to crack my trunk open. My bow has a chunk of it missing from its aluminum frame (This piece was found in my trunk).

Aside from e-bay...is there a crossbow value digest or something like that that I could use to justify the value of my bow to the other person's insurance agent (they can keep the two pieces of my bow for evidence if they want)?

Probably what will have to be done is to get a value of the crossbow when purchased new, compare it to the replacement cost of a new one - similar features - then come to an agreement about purchase price.

A friend of mine just did this with a mountain bike that was on the back of his car when it was rear ended. He ended up getting most of the replacement cost of new "like model" bike.
